South Western Regional Library Service
The South Western Regional Library Service (SWRLS) is a charitable organisation, funded entirely by membership subscriptions, and exists to act as an advocate for libraries and promote cooperation between libraries across all sectors in the South West and the Channel Islands
It was originally set up to coordinate inter-lending of books and other materials between libraries in the region, but it has now developed into a strategic body, membership of which offers an opportunity to influence the developing agenda for the library and information domain and the wider cultural sector, both regionally and nationally.
It also aims to support members by providing CPD opportunities and, to demonstrate its commitment, has successfully applied for the CILIP Seal of Recognition which recognises high standards in the content and relevance of training courses.
To find out more about SWRLS see the latest Annual Report, or please visit our About page which highlights some of the recent activity.
