The course takes a highly practical and interactive approach to learning about UX research and design:
defining UX
the importance of attitudinal and behavioural approaches
exploring the key UX research techniques and how they might be applied
processing and mapping user research data
effective idea generation and prototyping of new services
The course is designed for staff in every sector, including HE, FE, schools, health, public and specialist and does not assume any prior knowledge. Those attending with some experience of UX methods will learn new techniques and approaches.
Course leader: Andy Priestner, formerly a librarian at both Oxford and Cambridge University, now consultant and trainer in user experience. He created and chairs the international UX in Libraries conference.
