Here is a great opportunity to join UWE Bristol's practitioner team teaching students studying for the MSc. Information Management course as an Occasional Associate Lecturer.
The requirement is for up to 15 hours of on-site attendance at UWE's Frenchay Campus spread across Tuesday afternoons from 14.00 to 18.30 (with a 30 minute break at 16.00), starting week beginning Monday 25 September 2023 until 26 January 2024 (vacation period is 18 December 2023 - 5 January 2024), with some marking involved at the end of this period.
Virginia Power, Senior Lecturer, Information Science and Programme Manager for the MSc in Information Management, is looking for two individuals who would like to contribute to a key module, Information Professional: Contexts and Competencies. She would welcome expressions of interest from any information services sector including libraries, archives, museums and corporate/public service information professionals (law, health, special libraries).
Pay rates are as follows:
£47.21 per 2.5 hours - this includes one hour of teaching delivery plus 1.5 hours of associated preparation/marketing time.
£23.61 per hour for any other academic activity (eg marking only, interviews).
