SWRLS seeks new trustees to join Board

Updated: Oct 24, 2022

South Western Regional Library Service (SWRLS) CIO is a charitable organisation that supports and advocates for libraries and promotes cooperation between libraries across all sectors in South West England and the Channel Islands.

SWRLS is funded entirely by fees paid annually from our member library services. We support our members in five main areas:

· Networking and cross-sector collaboration

· Training/workforce development

· Grants

· Strategic partnerships

· Inter Library Loans

Each year at our Annual General Meeting & Conference we seek to re-elect trustees whose term of office is at an end and who put themselves forward for re-election; and we recruit new trustees to support good governance and full representation of our sector and our charitable objectives.

This year we particularly welcome applications from representatives with expertise in library leadership from the public library sector but all sectors are welcome to apply.

We are also seeking a nomination for a trustee to undertake the role as Secretary to the Board from January 2023.

If you wish to put your name forward for consideration at our AGM on 25 November, please complete the form below, including the name of proposer and a seconder, and return the form by email to our Board Secretary, Donna Gundry, dgundry@aup.ac.uk by 04 November 2022 when we will be further in touch with you.

For further information about becoming a SWRLS trustee, contact Donna at the email address above.
