South Western Regional Library Services CIO (SWRLS) is a charitable organisation uniting libraries across the South West region and across the library sector, including HE, FE, Public, Schools, NHS Hospital and Health and Specialist libraries such as cathedrals, museums and others. In 2027 SWRLS celebrates its ninetieth year and is the only such regional library membership organisation in the country. Our mission is to foster collaboration, networking and workforce development for public good.
We are looking to appoint a part-time Coordinator of the work we do on a freelance or consultancy basis. Accountable to a Board of Trustees, the Coordinator role offers flexibility, home-working (with some regional travel) and intellectual challenge in the shape of project management, fundraising, research & development, communications and administration of a wide, diverse and growing membership across our region.
The role is offered on an initial fixed term contract basis of two years at a daily rate of £180 per day. A typical working week is 1.5-2 days (approx. 11-15 hours) but may vary depending on need.
