new online training - free for staff at SWRLS member libraries

SWRLS has a long-established reputation for creating training opportunities across library sectors, and in 2025 we are excited to make some of this training and related resources even more accessible - and free - for all staff at SWRLS member libraries.

A new Resource area is now available on Basecamp, containing resources specifically for libraries on advocacy, AI, and bid support.

Further, we have now added a full training course primarily for frontline workers to help manage difficult customer situations. This short course, created by Diana Edmonds, offers tools and techniques for handling awkward and sometimes emotional situations, particularly those where you are giving a difficult message and handling objections.

We plan to continue to build on these resources in coming months and years.
