Who we are
Peninsula of Sanctuary: Libraries is a project managed by a cross-sector group of libraries based in Devon and Cornwall working together to make a bigger difference to persons seeking sanctuary and all new arrivals in our region, through the concepts of welcome, safety and inclusion.
Funded by a grant from SWRLS, the project follows the guidelines of the Libraries of Sanctuary initiative and sets out to bring together collective expertise and best practice from all kinds of libraries across Devon and Cornwall to build on our existing work in welcoming new arrivals and, for those that would like to, to support the creation of a network of Libraries of Sanctuary.
